Cynthia Gordon, 61

KENNEBUNK - Cynthia Jane Gordon, 61, a resident of Brown Street, died May 25, 2003 at Southern Maine Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

She was born July 3, 1941 in Biddeford, a daughter of Raymond and Maybelle (Maddox) Gordon. She attended Kennebunk schools. She was employed by SAD 71 as a custodian for more than 40 years. She was an active member of the First Congregational Church in Kennebunkport. She enjoyed her church and was an avid reader.

She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Wesley R. Gordon, and three sisters Beverly Motes, Varrell Kingsbury and Constance Harrison.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Wednesday at the Bibber Memorial Chapel, Kennebunk, with the Rev. Bonnie Steinroeder officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.
