Old Alex's son Thomas (#6) designated part
of his land on Gordon Hill as a burying ground to the Town Exeter per his Dec. 2 1757 will. According to the Exeter
Historical Society: "burials here are probably as early as 1710." No doubt, Thomas(1678-1762) himself is probably resting
here.

JOHNSON, MAGOUN, PERKINS, POOR, SANBORN.
This cem is overgrown with huge pines and hardwoods, with lots
of poison ivy. In the spring of 2003 one of the pines fell on the adjacent home causing considerable damage. Some of the stones
have been destroyed by the trees. A recent burial is here now, as remains found across the road by a construction crew have
been moved here. A stone marker reading 'Early Settlers' was to have been erected, but it has not as of May,
2007.
