Three Exeter Stones |
|
In the Front Street Burial Ground, Exeter NH. Left, a very worn stone. It's probably that of Rebecca Thayer (wife
of #155) and her infant son who both died on April 28th per AGD. I can make out this: "___ Gordon ___ wife
___ ___ Gordon ___ who died ___ April ___ and ___ child Richard Gordon who died April 28 ___"
Center, Stephen L. Gordon (#155) d. Nov 30 1843 aged 48. Right, Caroline E. G. daughter of S. & E. G. d July 29 1850.

|
John and Mary Gordon, Exeter NH |
|
Also in Front Street: Left, Mary B. Gordon d. 1847 a 83. Right, John Gordon (#54) d. Sept. 17 1840 aged 80 yrs. The AGD
says John is buried on Gordon Hill, but he evidently is not. John's son Nathaniel (#153) has a very nice monument in a very
neglected Lawrence MA cemetery.
